AACP
If you're a programmer, studying to be a programmer, or just want to be a programmer someday, take a look at the AACP mailing list.

There are over 350 members at this busy community, and the discussion ranges from current salary levels, to certification, to the merits of a particular language over the others, to just basic chatting.

Have you written some code that you just can't get the bugs out of? Send it to the list and you'll get several free critiques. Better have a tough hide, though. The anonymity of a mailing list removes inhibitions about saying it like you think it is.

All in all, the list is busy, chatty, friendly, and informative. I recommend subscribing to the digest version, unless it's your only subscription.
