Adobe calls its GoLive product the "cutting edge tool for creating premier Web sites." If you've tried the demo, or if you are fortunate enough to own this application, you know that it is rich in its ability to help both the expert and the novice whip up some fairly decent HTML. The GoLive moderated mailing list, after a slow start, has garnered a respectable level of traffic, and since it is moderated, the questions and answers aren't polluted with spam.
Some people don't like the way GoLive reformats raw code. But by reading a bit of the list, I found out that you can surround a code snippet with a tag to keep GoLive from rearranging things.
I also found out that to create a site map page, you simply click on the "create TOC" command within the program. It creates a simple hierarchical list of pages within your site, which you can then edit for clarity.
If you're using GoLive or just considering it, take a look at this list. You don't have to subscribe to read the archives, so it's a great 'try before you buy' scenario.
