NUA INTERNET SURVEYS is all about Internet numbers. How many people are online? Where are they? Who are they? What percentage of business Web sites use tags? What kind of servers are used by whom? What percentage of banks offer online services, and what precentage are in what countries? On and on, until even the staunchest statistician's mind would boggle. But a intelligent online marketer needs these figures, and must pay attention to them.
"Nua Internet Surveys is the authoritative source online for information on Internet demographics and trends," the associated Web site says. "Its information reaches 120,000 people every week and has been translated into Russian, German, Greek, Portuguese, Italian, Hebrew and Spanish. Nua Internet Surveys is a database of over two years information gathered and collated within Nua."
None of the information in the newsletter is original. Nua, based in Dublin, Ireland, is an aggregator. Their people comb the Web for stories and news items that contain statistics relating to online usage in one way or another, write brief summaries, and link to the original sites.
You can find direct sources for everything contained in Nua Internet Surveys elsewhere -- but generally only at "pay for" Web sites that charge anywhere from $5 per article up or want hundreds of dollars (at least!) for annual subscriptions.
This is one the most outstanding values on the World Wide Web for anyone interested in e-commerce or any other aspect of online business. We subscribe to it, and so should you.
