This is a chatty, laughing group which likes to talk about Slackware - a distro known sometimes for its lack of documentation, especially when compared to say, Red Hat.
You may not get tons of advice here, but you'll get a lot of sympathy. It just makes for fun reading. Not only that, but if you take a look at the member list you'll see that Burt Reynolds has stopped his wandering ways and settled down to become a Linux user.
That's not to say that you won't receive an answer to any queries that you post. You probably will, but you'll also get a few quips, which could very well be a day brightener.
