This list was set up to discuss the virtues of Linux vs. MS-DOS. Don't be surprised if you get caught in the vestiges of a flame war or two.
Honestly, who would create a list like this and expect anything less than full-time fire? With the adamant militancy of most Linux enthusiasts, a peaceful co-existence between the open source upstart and the monopolistic giant is about as likely as snowfall at the equator.
Regardless, if you're out for a good, hot time, subscribe to this list and jump full-force into the fray. Don't expect to get any stellar advice, though.
