At the tippy-top of the PLANET UNITED Web page they have the tag-line, "A little bit of everything and a whole lot more." They are not kidding. When Tech Mailings Guy went there, their counter was kind enough to inform me that I was the 54th person to visit the Web page. Oh-oh.
This site looked like it was put together by someone who told themselves: "Hey, if I offer everything under the sun, I'll be like an Internet version of the local mall. People are bound to go to a Web site like that one!"
Think free-for-all services. They've got free e-mail for you, free Web site hosting, links to "all" (they claim) the colleges and universities in North America, chat, cartoons, weather reports, news links, maps, electronic greeting cards, links to central Europe, job listings, sunglasses, a site offering Viagra without a prescription, banner exchanges, Utrade Auctions, Internet personal ads from the One and Only Network, female pen-pals in Eastern Europe, links to all of these folks sites:
- Secrets To Making Money On The Information Super-Highway
- Electronic Marketing Business Kit
- AIS Merchant Services (retail credit card merchant accounts)
- AIS TransAct Services (real-time Internet processing services)
- The iLynk Wholesale Directory
- AutoWeb
All of this running for free on a Spree.com Web site. My jaw dropped just looking at this page. BUT I'll be darned if I could find the link to their free newsletter. I looked and looked and just never found it. Not Recommended.
