Cost-Cutting Tips
COST-CUTTING TIPS is a newsletter needed because everything isn't free. Sure, you could go to yesterday's listing and find quite a few things, but some stuff you have to pay for. So, if what you want isn't free, you have to hope it's at least cheap --- er, I mean, "inexpensive." Cost-Cutting Tips shows you how to get those bargains.

A lady named LeDonna Willis produces this consumer-oriented newsletter on a bi-weekly basis. She says it will cover tips for you the consumer, your home and your automobile.

In the sample edition I looked at were these tips:

"Cost-cutting tips: Do Up The Town For Less

"For little more than the price of a pizza and video, you can enjoy a wealth of activies and even a formal night out just by following a few of the tips below.

"Use Coupons - Why not! You can save up to 50% on meals and admissions simply by using coupons. Start by going to your local travel bureau and looking for seasonal booklets and newspapers. These publications almost always have coupons inside. Don't forget to look in tour books and local newspapers. You can even find relevant discount coupons in your local Yellow Pages.

"Buy A Travel Discount Membership - Not only can you get 50% discount at top-notch hotels, you can get two-for-the-price-of one restaurant deals simply by presenting a travel discount card. You might even find half-price parking deals.

"Eat early for less - Many restaurants offer discounts on meals if you dine early. Call your local Chamber of Commerce or the Visitor's Bureau to find out which restaurants in your area offer early-bird specials. Of course you can also check your local newspaper or call the restaurant of your choice and just ask them.

Get Half-Price Tickets - Most cities have a place where you can buy rush tickets for shows and concerts at half price. Go to the half-price booth a few hours before the the show and you can buy any unsold ticket for 50% off. Believe it or not most of the unsold tickets are usually the higher priced one that go unsold which mean "them there are good seats!!" Call your local Chamber of Commerce or Arts Council to find out where to get half price-tickets in your area..."

Ms. Willis goes on to provide phone numbers for the places that offer these tickets in cities like Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. There were tips on checking out shows and concerts in preview, too.

If you don't have money to burn --- Who does? --- this newsletter can help.
