Equip
ZDNet produces slick stuff for today's Web culture, and this weekly e-mail newsletter is no different. Equip is all about modern technology that's family friendly. It will help you find all the latest in home entertainment, mobile tech, and computing/gaming.

A visit to the site revealed the latest version of the newsletter. The feature article boasted an explanation of "Today's Theater Sound," and promised to explain the difference between DTS and SDDS for the home enthusiast.

Another article peaked the interest of the reviewer because it tells the reader how to become a secret agent in the order of James Bond, 007. The zine went on to showcase the new American Express Blue card, a credit card designed specifically for Internet use, personal jukeboxes, some really cool night-vision goggles, and quite a few other interesting innovations for the tech-savvy.

At the Web site, you can search for specific products and product reviews by keyword. This time of year, an e-mail list like this could come in handy for the mall-weary Christmas shopper.
