When I visited the archives of the WebTv2 list, I was really surprised to see all the messages posted. I don't usually expect to see much traffic on a list that starts with "W," and deals with a phenomenon like WebTv. I thought WebTv died a while back. I guess I was wrong.
It really made me jump when I opened a post and strange music started to play. This WebTv stuff is like, from another planet or something. There was a link to something called a "transloader." If you're a WebTv'er, I guess you'll know what that is and why you need it.
There are funky-looking graphics on a lot of the posts, graphics which don't seem to be arranged with any rhyme or reason. Maybe the whole setup looks great on a WebTv monitor. I wonder if that's how the rest of the 'Net looks to one of the WebTv users-just plain messed up.
Anyway, the frequency of posting and the absence of empty chatter makes this mailing list worth a look.
