You got your slightly sophomoric humor here. You got your "maybe we publish this week on Saturday and maybe on Tuesday and maybe not at all until next week" attitude. You got your pointers to really strange sites that feature things like Druid Animal Oracle Readings. And there's lots of free stuff, too, as you just might guess from the name.

They also maintain a website that is a cooler portal than 90 percent of the corporate ones. It's full of links to all kinds of stuff, for all interests, and it has the same down-home feel as the newsletter.

Sometimes we miss the "old" Internet, before e-commerce and Disney took it over, back when we only found new Websites by word of e-mail and got together in casual little discussion groups instead of needing sites (like this one, alas) devoted to separating out the few worthwhile online features from the mounds of same-old same-old corporate bushwah that now seems to be the major diet online.

So thanks, Phil and Moke, for giving us your newsletter and letting us use it as a way to return to our (online) youth, back in the days before "crass" and "Internet" became synonyms.
