eLUG is a very active Linux Users' Group. They are all-inclusive and even call themselves "Everyone's Linux Users' Group." Geographically, the group is based in Central Florida.
This community is very friendly, open, and willing to hand out advice. Subscribe to this discussion list, or visit the archives first to see what you might be getting into.
Subscriptions to the mailing list are not limited to those who happen to live in sunny Florida. Ah, the benefits of cyberspace. Even if you're stationed in Alaska, you can be a part of this busy southern group. Sure, you can't be physically present at the meetings, but you can send your questions via e-mail, and isn't that the next best thing to being there?
