Surfing the Net with Kids
The author of "Surfing the Net With Kids" believes there are plenty of hidden gems out there on the Web for you and your child to discover together.

Barbara J. Feldman is a syndicated columnist whose semi-weekly e-mail newsletter brings reviews of educational, fun, and practical sites for kids. Twice a week, you'll receive eight to ten detailed summaries of exceptional hangouts for young people.

At the Web site, you can sign up for cool stuff like the 'daily factoid,' a java applet you put on your site that brings a new, interesting fact each day. Or, you can go shopping at the newsletter's affiliate sites--the links are all right here.

The HTML version of the newsletter is fancy; it looks just like a Web site. I recommend you subscribe to the text version. It loads and scrolls quickly, and who needs a bunch of graphics when you're just looking for links to great sites?
