One doesn't normally think of Argentina as a place for an Internet Geeks Make Good story, but that was just what I found the Cyberville story to be. Let me share it with you.

Cyberville Network Services, which now includes an interesting community of Web sites, started as an Internet Cafe in Buenas Aires. It thrived, it seemed, and grew into an enterprise which hosts other Web sites in South America, offers Web design consulting, and data processing, among other services. The original Internet cafe now provides coffee free of charge.

The Cyberville Gossip page is about Internet and technology news, but seems to be just the tip of the iceberg for a group of computer people in Buenas Aires having a lot of fun.

I cruised around this site, which is offered in both Spanish and English ---- the link to the English version is in the left navigation frame and could be a little easier to find --- and found it well-designed and informative. Nothing revolutionary here, just the usual list of sites they found good, information about Buenas Aires, links to the many services they offer if you are in need of same. It's the kind of welcoming e-zine that you might like to explore.

On their "About" page, they say this:

"Cyberville: a coffee dream.

"Cyberville NetWork Services is the international services structure that has been developed from Digital Cyberville Cafe, our Argentine services point. This cybercafe is located in Colpayo 49, Buenos Aires, near Primera Junta Square. It is part today of the history of the city. It was the direct access to the Constituent Assembly of the City of Buenos Aires (1996), and asserted the first place underlined in Latin America by the Internet World Expo..."

If you are interested in Internet news and gossip, presented professionally on a regular basis, this is one place you should definitely look at. Recommended.
