FOCUS on the Best Web Links
FOCUS ON THE BEST WEB LINKS is a twice monthly newsletter which provides 20 Web resources in each edition. This is the kind of Web site and newsletter for those among us who know there's a wealth of information on the Web, but get frustrated with search engine results and don't have the time or inclination to surf around and find them for ourselves. The publisher of this e-zine, Dr. Joseph Crnicki, of "San Jose, CA, USA - Oxford, UK - Zagreb, HR" provides a great service.

He uses three means of determining his 20 "best" sites for each addition. He has chosen some himself, others are from subscriber suggestions, and still others come from the Internet Scout Project (reviewed here earlier. See the Archives.)

By "best," judging from the examples I found in the archives of newsletter editions on the Web site, Dr. Crnicki seems to mean "information rich." Here are a couple of examples from one of the past newsletters:

"L e g e n d :

"*_F_* - Recommended by FOCUS ezine editors
"*_R_* - Recommended by a Reader of the FOCUS newsletter
"*_S_* - Recommended by Internet Scout Project (University of Wisconsin)

It is also a place to have fun with puzzles, games, quizzes, and discussion forums. This is an ideal site for students and inquiring minds to start their quest for knowledge on the Internet. Take a look at the site index to see the range of topics we cover,or the Top 20 to see what's popular. Or read the Welcome message to learn what our philosophy is, and who we are.
