It's billed as the e-zine for women who actually use their computer. Makes sense, because anyone who doesn't use her computer wouldn't subscribe to an e-mail newsletter. She'd be out at the mall, picking up Cosmo and a new pair of shoes.
MJ Fishkind, the publisher of "Absolutely HerComputer Made Ezine," says this free, biweekly newsletter will offer training, technical solutions, original articles, Web site reviews, and links.
A recent issue gave tips on how to reorganize the navigation bar in your browser, hawked a "Power Manual" that purportedly can teach you how to draw mass quantities of visitors to your Web site, a short blurb on how to tell if you are at a secure site, an article about overcoming procrastination (written by Ms. Fishkind) which ended up hawking some kind of home-based business opportunity, a review of a bookmark manager, and an article from the above-mentioned "Power Manual."
So, there is good information in this newsletter, and a few brazen sales pitches. It's bound to happen now and then (getting commercials mixed up in your content)-they say there's no such thing as a free lunch.
