TELECOMMUTING NEWS claims 11 million of us now telecommute, and that their monthly newsletter will help us do it better. This seems to be the truth. We got a few good ideas from it in the months since we subscribed, and you'll get a few too, when you subscribe.
Mark Stoke, who writes Telecommuting News, "...is a 15-year veteran in marketing communications with advertising agencies and corporations, and currently consults in the areas of Website development, and online marketing."
Every month, he takes a "case study" look at a telecommuter or a company that allows (or encourages) telecommuting, and how they're doing with it. We especially liked in Volume I, Issue number 8, with Bob Fortier, President of the Canadian Telework Association. It included a link to the , which is a fine telecommuters' resource in and of itself.
Behind the interview or case study feature in each issue, there's also a raft of news items relating to telecommuting; things like technological advances that will make working online from home easier, faster or more profitable (like ASDL rollouts, work-from-home Y2K opportunities for programmers, and notices of new telecommuting-oriented software packages).
Anyone who telecommutes -- or wants to -- should subscribe to Telecommuting News. It's a professional, attractive publication, well worth the few minutes of reading time it'll occupy every month.
